About the role
- Sr. Software Engineer/Tech Lead architecting and scaling AI health-tech SaaS at Phamily. Leading projects and teams to enhance virtual care delivery for patients and clinicians.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineers across projects
- Architect and build full-stack feature end-to-end (Ruby on Rails, Python, SQL, JS/Vue/React)
- Drive technical vision, code quality standards, and engineering best practices
- Communicate complex concepts simply and help technical and non-technical teams align
- Ship quickly in iterative cycles: prototype, launch, iterate, scale
- Make pragmatic trade-offs to deliver value fast while maintaining product integrity
- Use AI tools to speed up engineering output for yourself and your team
- Build, maintain, and scale SaaS products that serve real patients and clinicians
- Own migrations, services, APIs, and long-term maintainability
Requirements
- 7+ years full-cycle and full-stack experience (preferably Ruby on Rails + JS/Vue)
- Managed a team of at least 2 engineers
- You’ve built, shipped, and maintained production SaaS systems for years
- Strong architectural instincts and ability to coach others
- Clear communicator with high signal and low ego
- Startup or fast-paced environment experience
- Bonus: Healthcare, HL7/FHIR, data ingestion, ML/LLM interest
