About the role
- Senior Virtualization Engineer maintaining VMware environments in classified settings at Langley, VA. Supporting critical infrastructure with a focus on operational excellence and security compliance.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain enterprise virtualization environments using VMware technologies.
- Provide operational support similar to a **virtualization-focused help desk / infrastructure support role**.
- Troubleshoot and resolve virtualization platform issues across VMware environments.
- Assist with configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of virtualization infrastructure.
- Work with engineering and operations teams to maintain system availability and performance.
- Support virtualization technologies including **vSphere, vSAN, ESXi, and NSX**.
- Participate in ongoing infrastructure improvements and modernization initiatives.
- Maintain system documentation and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Active **TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph** (Langley-issued preferred).
- Experience supporting **VMware virtualization environments**.
- Working knowledge of:
- - VMware **vSphere**
- - **vSAN**
- - **ESXi**
- - **NSX**
- Background in one or more of the following:
- - System Engineering
- - Network Engineering
- - Senior Systems Administration
- Strong troubleshooting and operational support skills.
- Experience working in **secure, classified environments**.
