About the role
- Responsible for security and safety management at a site for Pépite, a firm specializing in military profiles. Overseeing a security team and implementing preventive measures.
Responsibilities
- Oversee overall site surveillance and ensure proportionate, effective interventions.
- Participate in apprehensions in cases of theft caught in the act (pre-theft measures, video, on-site).
- Oversee and monitor outsourced security services.
- Implement and update fire prevention procedures, evacuation plans and risk prevention plans.
- Make appropriate decisions in case of anomalies or malfunctions that could compromise safety.
- Ensure compliance with evacuation procedures.
- Identify risky situations and implement measures to prevent acts of terrorism.
- Ensure enforcement of employee safety rules (PPE, handling equipment, etc.).
- Assist and protect people when needed.
- Plan workload and organise assignments for the security team.
- Establish and enforce prevention procedures.
- Promote the sharing of best practices and the development of professional skills.
- Track performance indicators and implement corrective actions.
- Develop individual and team talents within the security team.
- Ensure progression of expertise and operational excellence.
- Ensure budget compliance and the quality of internal and external services.
- Monitor and optimise personnel and equipment costs.
Requirements
- Proven experience coordinating a security and fire safety team, ideally in a large retail environment.
- In-depth knowledge of security and fire safety.
- Familiarity with security systems and standards (anti-theft gates, video surveillance, etc.).
- First-aid skills (workplace first-aid certification/SST and use of an automated external defibrillator/AED).
- Proficiency in conflict intervention and de-escalation techniques.
- Leadership and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Rigour and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Responsiveness and composure in emergency situations.
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and effective communication.
