Yacht Team Manager marketing the Yachts business and managing the trading team. Fostering relationships with Captains and managing risks globally.
Responsibilities
Produce and play a key role in executing a business plan that focuses on marketing, and building the company brand and visibility in key Yachts markets, to directly impact on Yachts trading teams securing more business;
Establish and build relationships with new and existing Captains and suppliers;
Work closely with the Yachts team in Europe to allow for the efficient flow of market and customer intelligence;
Work with the Trading Manager and Regional Manager for Yachts to develop and implement effective short and long-term business strategies, ensuring they are regularly updated and accurately maintained;
Involvement in proactively control risks ensuring that all customers and suppliers are vetted and approved, cost of claims are minimized, and counterparty financial strength is regularly and carefully considered in conjunction with the Credit Team;
Keep abreast of all relevant yachts sector and market developments through regular reading of relevant trade publications, newspapers etc., and own network;
Requirements
Experience in the yacht industry
Business level of English language essential; knowledge of other languages is desirable
High level of computer literacy including proficiency of MS Office package and able to work with CRM systems
Strong knowledge of the Yachts market in multiple regions, ideally globally
Existing relationships, networks and well connected amongst Captains in multiple regions
Experienced in developing strategies to build market presence and share
Results driven and target oriented leader, able to energise and drive others to achieve goals within a fast paced, dynamic environment
Confident individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating a positive and professional manner
Persuasive and influential by nature, a highly effective negotiator able to ‘think on your feet’
High level of customer orientation; a ‘people person’, demonstrating exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build, expand and maintain trusted and collaborative long-term relationships
