About the role

  • Research position at RWTH Aachen in E-Mobility components, exploring battery production and consulting on various engineering fields. Engaging with industry partners in innovative projects.

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in shaping projects with industry partners from acquisition through planning to execution (e.g., production and process planning, prototyping, strategy development);
  • Investigate compelling research questions on battery production within research projects, with a focus on developing innovative process technologies;
  • Explore topics related to battery components and Re-X (re-use, repair, remanufacturing, recycling);
  • Examine research questions on battery development and safety as well as on innovative battery technologies and future product architectures;
  • Develop prototypes and new monitoring, manufacturing, and testing methods within research and industry projects;
  • Supervise students on their theses and conduct teaching activities;
  • Receive budgetary and leadership responsibilities early on and independently manage topics.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed university degree (Master or equivalent) in a technical field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering);
  • Ideally, initial practical experience in consulting, development, production, or e-mobility;
  • A strong drive to develop new topics and to use available scope for initiative;
  • Work in a structured and reliable manner; think creatively and pragmatically; be curious and motivated to continuously learn;
  • High willingness to travel and flexibility;
  • Fluent German and English, both written and spoken.
