About the role
- Head of Finance managing international business finance operations for Atlas Insurance PCC. Focusing on IFRS 17 compliance and process automation in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead our international business finance operations across all live cells
- Own IFRS 17 management accounts and statutory reporting for the international business
- Authorise and administer treasury and asset management transactions
- Drive automation and process improvement with advisors and the BI & AI team
- Shift oversight from account-by-account to portfolio performance
- Mentor a cross-functional team, set high working standards, and help shape future operating model
- Support projections, due diligence and licence applications for new programs.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACCA/University Degree or equivalent)
- 7–10+ years in senior insurance finance in a Solvency II environment
- confident with IFRS 17
- Proven experience in multi-entity/portfolio settings (PCC, fronting, MGA/captive, insurance management company or carrier with multiple programs)
- Comfortable authorising payments and managing treasury/asset admin within policy
- Hands-on with regulatory reporting (Solvency II QRTs, ORSA/SCR inputs, MFSA)
- Process simplifier and automation advocate
- experienced in using analytics
- willing to pilot AI (supported by our BI & AI team) for efficiency
- Excellent communicator, clear written outputs, confident board presence, and calm under pressure.
