About the role

  • Ecommerce Technical Lead managing engineering team for Click online payment gateway. Shaping future of digital payments in Aotearoa with Worldline NZ.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of talented engineers (plus contractors)
  • Guide day‑to‑day technical delivery for Click and support GoPay onboarding
  • Collaborate with architecture, security, product and platform teams
  • Shape technical designs, resolve challenges, and uphold best practices
  • Support sizing, planning and prioritisation of upcoming work
  • Communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Champion engineering standards, PCI compliance, and continuous improvement
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, learning and high performance.
  • Contribute to development when needed to help the team deliver.

Requirements

  • Experience leading and growing high‑performing engineering teams
  • Strong technical capability across multiple languages (Python, .net)
  • AWS infrastructure experience
  • Solid understanding of SDLC practices (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
  • Awareness of cloud trade‑offs and modern engineering practices
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to influence across the business
  • A passion for building great products and helping people reach their potential
