About the role
- Seasonal support for engineering staff with a focus on construction projects and inspections at Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. Assisting in various engineering tasks under supervision and direction.
Responsibilities
- Provides support to Engineering staff on a seasonal basis.
- Assists with various construction engineering projects, both in the office and in the field.
- Reviews roadway, bridge, and traffic construction criteria.
- Reads and interprets inspection/testing reports, engineering drawings/specifications and various maps, including topographic maps.
- Assists construction inspection, field measurement, and/or quantification of various project related items required for the construction of the project.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
- Must be currently enrolled into their sophomore, junior or senior year of a post-secondary educational program and be majoring in Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering for the upcoming fall semester.
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
