Seasonal support for engineering staff with a focus on construction projects and inspections at Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. Assisting in various engineering tasks under supervision and direction.
Responsibilities
Provides support to Engineering staff on a seasonal basis.
Assists with various construction engineering projects, both in the office and in the field.
Reviews roadway, bridge, and traffic construction criteria.
Reads and interprets inspection/testing reports, engineering drawings/specifications and various maps, including topographic maps.
Assists construction inspection, field measurement, and/or quantification of various project related items required for the construction of the project.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
Must be currently enrolled into their sophomore, junior or senior year of a post-secondary educational program and be majoring in Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering for the upcoming fall semester.
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
