About the role

  • Dragline Manager leading engineering services for the dragline fleet at Mosaic Company. Overseeing asset performance, reliability programs, and team development in surface mining operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day‑to‑day and long‑term planning, workflow execution, and predictive/preventive maintenance activities to improve dragline and dredge asset health.
  • Lead the planning and execution of major dragline turnarounds and outages, ensuring safe execution, cost discipline, and schedule adherence.
  • Oversee the Mechanical Integrity program to support safe, reliable, and compliant operations.
  • Evaluate dragline asset health across the Central Florida fleet and provide technical guidance to address reliability and performance issues.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives and emerging technologies to enhance performance, reduce cost, and increase operational value.
  • Maintain dragline asset management systems to ensure visibility of asset health, operating metrics, and adherence to repair and purchasing standards.
  • Ensure accurate dragline documentation, drawings, and data are maintained to support safe and efficient work execution.
  • Communicate project plans, progress, risks, and priorities to operations and maintenance stakeholders.
  • Provide clear leadership and direction to the Dragline Services team and contract inspection resources.
  • Align team priorities with site and fleet operational needs through strong collaboration with operations, mine planning, and maintenance leaders.
  • Standardize best practices across the dragline fleet by partnering with site management and driving consistent execution.
  • Direct shared maintenance and technical resources to meet operational demands while balancing safety, cost, and reliability.
  • Own execution of the Dragline Asset Strategy and translate strategy into actionable plans and results.
  • Develop effective working relationships with engineering teams, vendors, and contract service providers to ensure strong technical support.
  • Coach and develop team members by setting clear expectations, providing timely feedback, and supporting skill and career development.
  • Address performance issues when needed while reinforcing Mosaic values and performance standards.
  • Build dragline subject matter expertise within the team to ensure sustained technical capability and fleet support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mining, or Chemical Engineering required.
  • 10+ years of proven experience in surface mining with draglines, dragline T/A management, and dragline maintenance and reliability.
  • Experience in operations management, project management, and continuous improvement.
  • People leadership experience required; experience in engineering or operations leadership preferred.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to lead cross‑functional groups and influence at all levels.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in process control systems, PI Data Historian, SAP, and engineering/operations software.
