About the role
- Junior CAD Designer at JEM Systems creating detailed technical drawings for life safety projects. Involved in drafting fire alarm plans, circuit calculations, and collaborating with budgeting.
Responsibilities
- Draft fire alarm plans using AutoCAD for contract-based projects;
- Assist the estimating department in preparing explanatory drawings for commercial proposals;
- Calculate voltage drop for electrical circuits;
- Size batteries for use in fire alarm control panels;
- Prepare bill of materials (BOM).
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or holding a degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Architecture;
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2D (3D not required);
- Experience with fire alarm systems or electrical projects is a plus;
- Analytical mindset, commitment, and strong attention to detail;
- Experience with execution/construction drawings is a plus.
