Responsibilities

  • Serves as the senior leader responsible for the strategic direction, operational performance, and profitable growth of a regional branch.
  • Provides leadership across both commercial and personal lines of business.
  • Ensures the execution of a comprehensive operational plan aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Oversees significant premium volume and agency operations.
  • Cultivates high-performing teams and maintains strong relationships with key agency partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Drives sustainable profitability and advances organizational initiatives.
  • Fosters a data-driven culture that supports sound business decisions.
  • Formulates, articulates, directs and executes the branch office Operational Plan.
  • Develop, direct and coach assigned staff.
  • Support corporate initiatives and engage employees.
  • Proactively addresses and resolves agency issues while maintaining positive agency/company relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or similar discipline required.
  • Minimum of 10-years managerial experience within the property/casualty insurance industry, preferably within commercial lines (i.e. Underwriting Manager, Territory Manager, etc.).
  • Proven experience in the cultivation, establishment and retention of solid agency and customer relationships required.
  • Proven ability in leading personnel towards the attainment of operational and strategic objectives.
  • Demonstrated mastery of underwriting concepts and principles, with a focus on commercial lines.
  • Exceptional knowledge of company underwriting standards and philosophy.
  • Exceptional knowledge of all commercial and personal lines insurance coverages.
  • Effective negotiation skills.
  • Good PC skills, with an emphasis on Microsoft Office Suite.
