About the role

  • Senior Consulting Project Manager providing expert project management for high-capacity electric infrastructure projects at PG&E. Leading initiatives that improve safety, affordability, and reliability in energy delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Provides expert-level project management and leadership for Project Management’s largest and most complex initiatives.
  • Establishes unit cost and monitors progress/accomplishment.
  • Identifies and implements non-traditional processes to implement the project that reduces cost and/or schedule.
  • Communicate regularly with PG&E Officers, managers, critical project partners and high-level public sector contacts.
  • Mentors and provides guidance to less tenured project managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or its equivalent in education and experience
  • 13 years of PG&E (14 years outside) experience in project management, project controls, engineering, and/or construction
  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Electrical Engineering Degree for the Substation projects and Civil Engineering for Transmission line projects
  • Knowledge of and experience with electric substations, and transmission line projects
  • Fluent in the use of Project Management tools and current company tools, such as SAP Financials and Work Management modules and Microsoft Project Scheduling Software.
