About the role

Responsibilities
- Provides expert-level project management and leadership for Project Management’s largest and most complex initiatives.
- Establishes unit cost and monitors progress/accomplishment.
- Identifies and implements non-traditional processes to implement the project that reduces cost and/or schedule.
- Communicate regularly with PG&E Officers, managers, critical project partners and high-level public sector contacts.
- Mentors and provides guidance to less tenured project managers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or its equivalent in education and experience
- 13 years of PG&E (14 years outside) experience in project management, project controls, engineering, and/or construction
- Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Electrical Engineering Degree for the Substation projects and Civil Engineering for Transmission line projects
- Knowledge of and experience with electric substations, and transmission line projects
- Fluent in the use of Project Management tools and current company tools, such as SAP Financials and Work Management modules and Microsoft Project Scheduling Software.
