About the role

  • Engineering role performing design tasks for PG&E’s energy generation facilities. Collaborating on projects related to hydroelectric, fossil, solar generation, and battery storage.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares designs, calculations, drawings, layouts and/or studies from field inspections, preliminary sketches, rough diagrams, or specifications.
  • Checks drawings, designs, or other work.
  • Coordinates and directs the work of employees in lower classifications and provides guidance for training, orientation, or familiarization purposes to associates engaged in allied work.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in the appropriate field of engineering from a recognized college or its equivalent in education and experience.
  • Equivalency may include education and design drafting experience totaling six years, or education and experience totaling four years including two years at PG&E as a Design Drafter or Senior Design Drafter.
  • Must have a working knowledge of material and equipment including commonly used national specifications and standards, building, or other appropriate codes and fundamental engineering principles and techniques.
  • Working knowledge of material and equipment fundamental engineering principles and techniques.
  • Bentley MicroStation Experience
  • Bentley ProjectWise Experience
  • Revu Bluebeam Experience
  • Experience working with hybrid legacy scanned drawings within MicroStation CAD
  • Previous experience with PGE WLO process and reporting.
