About the role

  • Quality Management Auditor ensuring compliance with safety and procedural requirements for PG&E’s Vegetation Management. Works independently in the field to drive quality and safety in operations.

Responsibilities

  • Works independently in the field as a quality management auditor to ensure work is completed in a safe, cost-effective, efficient, timely, and productive manner.
  • Works with some guidance to complete assignments and solves moderately complex problems.
  • Communicates with peers, exchanging ideas or gathering information on the overall program plan and goals within a specific functional area of Quality Management.
  • May assist with the onboarding and training of new Quality Management Auditors and/or contractors and sub-contractors.
  • Encourages public, contractor, and employee safety on site at all times by promoting positive leadership and safety culture.
  • Maintains constant communication with Quality Management Supervisor and other Quality Management Leadership team members to keep them informed about audit results, work performance, safety topics, or any other issues related to the daily work.
  • Partners with leadership across lines of business to support decisions and meet business goals.
  • Reports out, provides updates and corrective actions, and may hold daily huddles under the Lean Management model.
  • Completes field Quality Management audits/verifications to ensure quality vegetation management execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Valid CA Class C Driver’s License or equivalent
  • 3+ years of job-related experience
  • ISA Arborist
  • ISA Utility Specialist certification
  • ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ)
  • CPR / First Aid
  • OSHA 30
  • Knowledge of Arboriculture and/or utility vegetation management concepts, methods, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of forestry and/or utility vegetation management concepts, methods, and techniques.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational, time management, prioritization, and planning skills.
  • Good project and program management skills.
  • Ability to assess and recommend based on strong technical knowledge.
  • Knowledge of the current utility and energy industry.
  • Ability to work within an environment that is heavily dependent on laws and regulations, and knowledge of how to interpret and apply them.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, etc.) and GIS applications.
