About the role
- Design Engineer at PG&E responsible for electrical substation design and ensuring service excellence in generation projects. Hybrid position requiring collaboration with various engineering disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Promote safe practices and conduct in accordance with the Corporate Safety policy
- Coordinate project information (studies, sketches, computations, other complex data)

- Prepare bill of materials, circuit & conduit schedules, reports, and presentations
- Conduct design review meetings with project teams
- Ensure delivery of high-quality design products on budget, on time, and on purpose
Requirements
- Holds a BS in Electrical Engineering or graduating with a BS in electrical engineering by July 2026
- Valid Class C California Driver's License (or higher)
- Familiarity with PG&E standards and processes
- PE/EIT certification
- Experience in electrical substation design using MicroStation or AutoCAD or Bentley 3D software
- Fluent with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
