About the role
- Engineering Intern in Gas Operations or Gas Engineering at PG&E. Participate in the Summer Intern Program to gain knowledge and experience while contributing as a valuable team member.
Responsibilities
- Each engineering intern’s responsibility will be dependent on the department assignment in either Gas Operations or Gas Engineering.
- Possible departments may include but not limited to the listed below:

Requirements
- Qualified candidates are currently enrolled pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree full-time in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related engineering fields.
- Students must be continuing education towards degree during and/or after internship.
- Students must be returning back to school in the Fall of 2026 continuing full-time enrollment.
- Must be in good academic standing.
- FE/EIT certification
- Former PG&E Intern
- Work experience or internships in utilities, municipalities, construction, or other pipeline related fields
- Ability to work in a team environment and support fellow team members
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Takes initiative and can work independently with minimal direction.
