About the role

  • Content Writer & Strategist crafting impactful written communications for COMPEL Pro's membership community. Focused on strategic content creation across digital platforms in a faith-based environment.

Responsibilities

  • Write general member communications, including onboarding emails, Month at a Glance, and ongoing nurture emails.
  • Develop promotional content for programs, writing challenges, campaigns, and special initiatives—including emails, social media posts, website copy, and supporting assets—by crafting messaging adapted for multiple platforms around the same initiative.
  • Create and oversee social media content (in partnership with volunteers) to promote the COMPEL Pro membership community, boost engagement, and drive growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the P31 marketing team to develop social media copy for lead-generation and member-acquisition campaigns.
  • Write and refresh member website copy to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with COMPEL Pro’s voice and mission.
  • Strategize and oversee public blog content, working with volunteer writers to guide themes, provide direction, and maintain editorial consistency.
  • Monitor content performance and engagement metrics to identify trends and opportunities to improve effectiveness across platforms.
  • Use AI tools responsibly and strategically to support ideation, drafting, optimization, and workflow efficiency—without sacrificing voice, theological clarity, or relational warmth.
  • Stay current on best practices in digital writing, content strategy, and audience engagement.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of proven experience writing compelling content for digital platforms, including email, social media, and websites.
  • Strong understanding of marketing copy that motivates readers to take action.
  • Ability to think strategically about content while executing excellent writing.
  • Familiarity with (and enthusiasm for) using AI tools to support writing and content strategy.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Comfort working in a faith-based environment and aligning content with Christian values and mission.
  • Willing to receive feedback on writing and refine when necessary.
  • Experience working with volunteer writers or contributors is a plus.
