About the role

  • Electronic Engineering Placement Student at Oxford Instruments Andor, working in NPD Engineering team and tackling real-world engineering projects for innovative scientific products.

Responsibilities

  • The Electronic Engineering Placement Student will work in the New Product Development Engineering team, alongside a small team of experienced Electronic Engineers, supporting and enhancing Andor’s innovative scientific product portfolio.
  • Tackle real-world projects that push the boundaries of technology and creativity.
  • Work alongside experienced Electronic Engineers who will guide your development and nurture your talents.

Requirements

  • Will have successfully completed the 2nd year of a BEng/MEng degree (or equivalent) by June 2026
  • Have an understanding of basic concepts of Electronic design- analogue and digital
  • Have experience working and fault finding on electronic circuits/systems
  • Are available to start placement in September 2026
  • Are hungry to learn and innovate
  • Are excellent team players and communicators
  • Are eager to apply classroom knowledge to real-world challenges
