About the role
- Network Engineer managing customer activations for OXG Glasfaser GmbH. Involves technical processes and troubleshooting in telecommunications industry.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate internal and external partners such as the NOC and field service to ensure successful customer activations
- Independently and sustainably resolve complex incidents and issues arising during customer activations
- Actively shape technical processes and procedures for registering customer devices and commissioning network elements
- Support day-to-day operations of active network elements to ensure stable network operation
- Participate in Major Incident Management and promptly remediate critical faults
Requirements
- Degree in engineering, information technology, or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience
- (Several years of) professional experience in technical roles within the telecommunications industry or communications engineering
- Experience in technical customer activation for FTTH networks
- Ideally practical experience operating active network components in FTTH networks (OLT/ONT) or other fixed-line technologies
- Solid knowledge of networking technologies and network architectures
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and their application
- Business-fluent communication in German and English
