About the role
- Network Engineer supporting secure test and lab environments for the U.S. Department of Defense. Collaborate with engineers and technical teams to ensure mission success in a classified DoD environment.
Responsibilities
- Configure, support, and maintain LAN/WAN network environments in classified lab and test settings.
- Assist with network integration for new systems, test events, and lab upgrades.
- Implement and maintain network and operating system security settings in accordance with DoD STIGs.
- Support cybersecurity activities related to IATT and ATO efforts by providing technical input and configuration documentation.
- Create and update technical documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
- Work alongside engineers, IT staff, cybersecurity personnel, and government users to support mission needs and scheduled test activities.
- Participate in system installs, maintenance windows, and test preparations as required.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen with an active/current Secret Clearance.
- BS/BA from an accredited US institution & 4 years of experience OR AA/AS & 8 years of experience OR High School Diploma & 12 years of experience.
- IAT Level II certification: CompTia Security+ CE, GSEC, SSCP, or CySA+.
- Master's Degree & 2 years of experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Webster Field and NAS Patuxent River RDT&E network infrastructure.
- Cisco Certifications: CCST Networking, CCST Cybersecurity, CCNA, or CCNP.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Visio.
- Experience with wireless or microwave point-to-point networking.
- Experience with IPSEC VPN and L2TP.
- Familiarity with Linux - RHEL, SUNOS systems.
- Current U.S. Passport.
