About the role

  • Healthcare Data Architect guiding health organizations with openEHR and FHIR governance and architecture. Collaborating on digital health projects with Swiss health institutions.

Responsibilities

  • You advise healthcare organizations on the **design and governance of data architectures** for **openEHR CDR** (Clinical Data Repository) and **FHIR ODR** (Operational Data Repository)
  • You model **clinical data** (diagnoses, medication, findings) in openEHR **and operational data** (appointments, bed management, admissions/discharges) in FHIR
  • You develop **Data Governance Frameworks**: definition of roles, processes, maturity measurement and compliance monitoring
  • You ensure the **integration between openEHR CDR and FHIR ODR** for complete traceability across clinical and administrative processes
  • You support OWT in the **build-up of internal expertise** in openEHR/FHIR and contribute to strategy development
  • You work on **Digital Health projects** with leading Swiss healthcare institutions

Requirements

  • **7+ years of experience** in health data architecture with a focus on **openEHR and/or FHIR**
  • **Governance expertise:** building frameworks for role allocation, modeling processes, maturity measurement and architecture compliance
  • **Modeling expertise:**
  • **openEHR (CDR):** structuring compositions for clinical data (diagnoses, findings, medication) with a focus on scalability and long-term data availability
  • **FHIR (ODR):** structuring resources for operational data (Appointments, Encounters, Bed Management, Admissions) to enable interoperability and process efficiency
  • **Integration:** linking openEHR CDR and FHIR ODR to provide full traceability
  • Practical experience in **implementing openEHR-based CDRs** and **FHIR-compliant interfaces**
  • Experience in the **lifecycle management** of archetypes, templates and FHIR profiles (versioning, impact analysis, quality assurance)
  • Deep **understanding of clinical and operational processes** in healthcare institutions
  • Fluent in **German and English** (C1+); French is a plus
  • Strong **communication skills** with clinical, technical and management stakeholders
  • **Certifications** (openEHR, FHIR, HL7) are an advantage
