About the role

• Site Safety Engineer responsible for enforcing safety regulations and conducting training at various construction sites. Requires travel across the United States and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Enforce the use of safety equipment/clothing as required by OSHA and company safety regulations.
• Reinforce that team members on the project site are in compliance with the safety requirements of the company.
• Ensure that appropriate safety records are maintained.
• Ensure that work areas are maintained in a neat, safe and orderly fashion.
• Investigate cause of an incident and complete reports as required.
• Assist Site Manager in administrative counseling to team members and subcontractors who are in non-compliance with safety requirements.
• Hold safety meetings/jobsite review as part of coordination meetings.
• Conduct daily safety meetings.
• Conduct orientation and jobsite specific training.
• Communicate, implement and enforce Gray’s safety program on site.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR 5+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• OSHA 30 Hour card.
• Experience in an industrial construction environment is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques.
• Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite programs.
• Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
• Must be an energetic, self-motivated individual who has a passion for collaboration and professional development.
• This position requires travel as our projects are scattered throughout the United States and, in some cases outside of the U.S.
