- Monitor and manage procedural deadlines, ensuring accurate handling of assigned matters.
- Attend conciliation, evidentiary and trial hearings, defending the interests of the company or clients.
- Analyze lawsuits to identify risks, settlement opportunities, and appropriate legal strategies for each case.
- Enter and update information in legal management and case-tracking systems.
- Prepare reports and legal opinions when requested, providing clear analyses of case status and developments.
- Support the definition of procedural strategies and assist in negotiations for judicial or extrajudicial settlements.
- Stay up to date with legislation, jurisprudence and regulatory changes relevant to the practice area.
- Perform other related duties as directed by legal coordination or management.
Requirements
- Law degree (Bachelor of Laws) and active professional registration to practice law.
- Previous experience in mass litigation, managing a high volume of cases.
- Experience with legal management systems (e.g., CP-Pro, ProJuris, Legal One or similar).
- Experience with cases in the Special Civil Courts (Juizados Especiais Cíveis — Law 9.099/95).
- Knowledge of or experience with matters related to the electricity/electric utility sector (desirable).
- Residence in São Luís, MA (Maranhão).
