About the role
- OPEX Manager leading the newly formed team in operational excellence strategies at mera. Overseeing continuous improvement programs and project management within a dynamic company culture.
Responsibilities
- Lead the newly established OPEX Management team, currently consisting of 3 employees
- Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive Operational Excellence strategies
- Analyze and optimize existing processes to identify improvement potential across the entire value chain
- Plan, execute and take responsibility for Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement (CI) and Kaizen initiatives, as well as project management
- Establish and facilitate continuous improvement programs (CIP)
- Train, coach and empower managers and employees in OPEX methodologies
- KPI tracking, performance analyses and preparation of relevant reports
- Lead interdisciplinary projects to increase efficiency and reduce costs, including investment projects at the Kevelaer site
Requirements
- Strong practical knowledge of Operational Excellence, gained through vocational training with further qualification or a technical/business degree
- Several years of relevant professional experience in an industrial environment, ideally with exposure to the food or feed industry
- Proven track record in Operational Excellence, process optimization and Lean management
- Ideally Six Sigma Black Belt or comparable certifications
- Analytical skills and a structured approach to work
- Strong leadership and coaching skills to motivate teams and actively support change processes
