About the role
- Phase1 Trainee in Operative Procurement executing procurement activities and supporting the Purchase to Pay process at Orion. A great opportunity for students seeking summer experience in a pharmaceutical company.
Responsibilities
- executing the operative procurement activities for indirect materials and services to fulfill the needs of Orion’s production and other units
- creating purchase orders based on requirements from different teams
- monitoring the order-to-delivery process
- actively communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- handling invoices related to purchase orders
- participating in selected process development projects
Requirements
- a second- or third-year student in a relevant academic field (for example supply chain management, industrial engineering and management, or procurement/logistics)
- a positive attitude and ability to learn quickly
- strong collaboration skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- fluency in Finnish and English
- proficiency in MS Office tools
- AI and data analytics skills are considered an advantage
- previous experience with SAP, vendor invoice management tools, or other digital procurement solutions is beneficial
- prior procurement or purchasing experience is considered an advantage but is not mandatory
