About the role
- Analytics Engineer designing and building data models within a modern data stack. Collaborating with stakeholders to streamline data processes for business insights in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Data Modeling: Design and build modular, performant data models using dbt and SQL to create a reliable "Single Source of Truth."
- Orchestration: Support the scheduling and monitoring of pipelines using Airflow, ensuring high availability and data reliability.
- Best Practices: Maintain code integrity using Git for version control, performing code reviews, and documenting data assets.
- Stakeholder Support: Collaborate with the stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in BI, Data Analytics, or a similar role with a strong technical tilt.
- Proficiency in scripting with SQL, extracting large sets of data, and design of ELT flows.
- Hands-on experience with a collaborative version control system.
- Ability to embrace new technologies, applications and solutions, actively pursue professional growth.
- Ability to explain technical data structures to non-technical partners clearly and effectively.
- A desire to take ownership of projects and master data modeling, pipelines and orchestration.
- Collaborative mindset with ability to contribute both independently and as part of a team.
- Structured way of thinking with attention to detail.
- Nice to Have: BSc/MSc in a Quantitative Field: Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
- Exposure to the modern Data Stack (sql, databases, snowflake, dbt, airflow).
- Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau or similar.
- Knowledge of Python or R.
