About the role
- Associate Software Engineer responsible for software quality assurance on Omnipod products. Develops test plans and collaborates with software teams in a hybrid role based in Tijuana.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain test database for automated validation test of software revisions.
- Creating and executing test plans, manual and automated test cases and generating test reports.
- Creating use cases and identifying gaps in use cases/test cases.
- Develop and execute test suite for iOS mobile application.
- Influence the definition of requirements and software design to maximize testability.
- Develop and extend test cases (protocols) and plans as software application features evolve.
- Build test frameworks and methodologies that will define the testing process used as part of the agile software development process.
- Work closely with the software development team to identify and correct defects.
- Collaborate with Development, QA, and IT teams.
- Participate in product design reviews.
- Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
- Masters/ Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in software testing is a bonus
- In-depth knowledge of software testing methodology, test development, and test execution is a plus.
- Strong software skills including C, C++, Java, Python, Swift or TestNG.
- Software test group experience.
- Proficiency with source control, continuous integration and testing methods (i.e., Git, Perforce).
- Familiarity with Continuous Build Systems such as Jenkins or Bamboo.
