Responsibilities
Responsible for agent audits and recertifications in an assigned region in accordance with industry regulations and company requirements.
Ensure that agent operations, escrow processes, and underwriting practices align with the agent's contract and Agency Administration Manual.
Conduct agent audits of title and escrow operations, including file reviews, disbursement procedures, accounting controls, and underwriting practices.
Review all internal data for recertification of agents.
Update the company database with assessment results.
Evaluate compliance with ALTA Best Practices, state regulations, and company policies.
Identify process inefficiencies, control weaknesses, and areas of potential risk.
Provide direction to agent to assist in putting appropriate plans in place to create or correct deficiencies found in the audit.
Prepare detailed audit reports with actionable recommendations for process improvement and issue audit reports to agents and Management with the proper distribution lists.
Collaborate with the team to develop the audit schedule.
Stay current on changes in title insurance laws, escrow regulations, and industry standards.
Monitor the implementation of corrective actions and follow up on outstanding issues when tasked.
Requirements
Comply with Company policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and completes mandatory company compliance training by assigned deadlines.
Be dependable, reliable, and punctual attendance is required, which may include in-office attendance or attendance at company, industry or other events that occur outside regular business hours.
Have the ability to accept supervision and direction, as well as constructive feedback.
