Test & Release Manager at Objectway coordinating multiple release projects and ensuring high-quality software delivery at the Ebersberg office with flexible remote options.
Responsibilities
Coordinate release planning, delivery and execution across multiple sub-projects or delivery areas
Focus on ensuring smooth test cycles, optimal use of test windows, and high-quality, compliant releases
Act as the central communication and coordination point for all delivery streams for SaaS customers
Hands-on coordination role requiring a balance between process governance, compliance alignment, stakeholder management and technical delivery oversight
Independently plan, manage and monitor release activities
Create and maintain the release calendar, manage schedules, dependencies and cross-functional coordination
Serve as the main point of contact for all teams involved in builds, deployments and test cycles
Review test criteria, defect status and release readiness before each release
Ensure that go-live conditions and documentation requirements are met
Organize activities to provision environments
Ensure availability of rollback plans and contingency options
Provide regular status updates on releases and publish release notes
Ensure clear and transparent communication of changes, timelines, test status and risks
Use data-driven insights to develop strategy and report on KPIs
Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit and security requirements when planning and executing releases
Monitor post-release and participate in incident triage, RCA and improvements in subsequent releases related to the incident
Own release governance/standards – standardize release processes, operational procedures, KPIs, etc.
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration (or similar) and relevant professional experience in a comparable role
Proven experience in Change Management, Release Management or Test Management, ideally in the fintech sector
Project management skills with demonstrable experience supporting complex projects with multiple stakeholders are an advantage
Ideally experience working in a SaaS environment
Good knowledge of professional software development and associated best practices, understanding of agile methodology principles and the basics of the SCRUM framework
Solid experience in IT service management according to ITIL is desirable
Expertise in tooling & automation using modern test automation tools and/or frameworks such as the Atlassian toolchain or similar
