About the role

  • Accounting & HR Coordinator at Nucor Steel Sedalia, handling accounting transactions and providing HR support. Ensuring adherence to safety standards and maintaining financial controls.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for processes, research and executing general accounting transactions including payments, cash receipts, and general inventory tracking
  • Assists with ad-hoc month-end processes and tasks related to the successful operation of the finance department
  • Performance of internal controls over financial reporting and processing requisitions support team in purchasing related aspects
  • Wide range of HR support including record keeping of timesheets, production bonus calculations, donations management, and administration of various company sponsored programs/projects
  • Maintaining records and document retention
  • Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times

Requirements

  • Requires a 2-year business and/or HR degree or 3 years of related experience
  • Cannot have relatives working at Nucor Steel Sedalia
