About the role
- Senior Project Manager leading complex software development initiatives within a technology-focused organization. Overseeing project lifecycles from planning to execution with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders and technical leads
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, resource allocations, and budgets using tools such as Azure DevOps and Microsoft Project
- Drive end-to-end delivery of software projects using Agile (Scrum/Kanban) methodologies
- Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies; define and execute mitigation strategies proactively
- Act as the primary point of contact between technical delivery teams and business stakeholders, translating business requirements into actionable technical work
- Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and steering committee meetings with external project sponsors
- Provide regular, transparent project status reporting to senior leadership and external parties including progress, risks, financials, and key decisions
- Collaborate with solution architects and engineering leads to ensure technical decisions align with project goals, timelines, and enterprise architecture standards
- Continuously review and evaluate evolving recommendations in security, code coverage, documentation, QA & testing and data pipeline architecture to ensure that best practices are followed
- Conduct post-project reviews and lessons-learned sessions; feed insights back into project governance frameworks
Requirements
- Minimum 7+ years of project management experience, with at least 4 years managing software development projects in a senior capacity
- Proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale software projects on time and within budget
- Strong experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and familiarity with waterfall/hybrid delivery models
- Hands-on experience with project management tooling such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent project management certification (required)
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI-ACP, or SAFe Agilist certification (highly desirable)
