About the role

• SAP Software Engineer focusing on Java development in agile teams, collaborating on SaaS services and employing modern technologies like Kubernetes, Spring Boot, and VueJS.

Responsibilities

• You work in our agile software development teams with a focus on Java development, including SaaS services in the integration domain, and help define processes, test strategies, methodologies and tools.
• You design, develop, document and test new software solutions together with colleagues.
• You work in an open, cross-functional team that delivers every sprint.
• You use the latest technologies and methodologies in areas such as Kubernetes, Rancher, Spring Boot and VueJS.
• You accompany development from conception through to production.
• You work independently in the product team, either onsite at our offices or remotely from your home office.

Requirements

• You have been working in Java development for at least two years, with an awareness of Clean Code and an independent working style focused on customer value.
• You have a quick grasp and a good understanding of the diversity of business processes.
• You are distinguished by high standards for code quality, design and by creating software architecture that supports agile working.
• Ideally you have experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (e.g. Docker, Gradle and Jenkins) as well as EDI/IDoc.
• You have strong communication skills and very good German and English language skills. Good presentation techniques distinguish you.
• You see your calling as a developer and are passionate about innovations and products.
• For collaborative development of solutions and new ideas, you are willing to work regularly — approximately 1–2 days per week — onsite at our Bielefeld office.
