Responsibilities
New business acquisition, proposal, and special projects support
Support Functional Engineering initiatives
Assist with staff workload forecast preparation
Identifying and implementing new or improved tools and processes to increase team efficiency
Acquire the necessary computers, equipment, and tools to enable the team to accomplish their assigned job
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
Leads Engineering teams with program execution
Mentor Engineers on all phases of the Program
Creates, reviews, and maintains critical documentation
Strong interpersonal skills
Supports the software department, software center, and software sector in their day-to-day activities
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field AND 8 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in software development, OR a Master’s degree in a STEM field AND 6 years of related professional/military experience OR a PhD in a STEM field and 4 years of experience that includes a background in software development
Prior experience in a leadership capacity using agile development
Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Experience with Agile software development, object-oriented architecture and programming, software integration and testing
Experience with at least two of the following programming or scripting languages: Java, Python, Go, C++, C#, PowerShell, VBScript, Bash, or KornShell
Experience with Cloud technologies and service providers
Active in-Scope, DoD Secret clearance
Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Program Access (SAP/PAR)
