About the role
- Backend Engineer responsible for developing features in a secure mobile data product at Saily. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance user experience in 200+ destinations.
Responsibilities
- Enhance the Saily product by developing and maintaining new features.
- Create features for multi-dimensional personalization, A/B testing, and analytics.
- Maintain a high-quality codebase.
- Continuously improve code and performance.
- Mentor colleagues on best practices & provide technical guidance.
- Influence team vision and long-range goals.
- Perform R&D as needed.
- Collaborate as part of a cross-functional team.
Requirements
- Over 4 years of experience in backend development.
- Preferably with a background in Python, PHP, or Ruby.
- Familiar with system design and appropriate patterns.
- Previous experience with K8s and microservice architecture is a plus.
- SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (Cassandra, Redis) experience.
- Previous experience with Kafka.
- Passion for building easy-to-use APIs.
