Care Engineer delivering technical support for Nokia's NPC and CSD systems, ensuring reliability and performance. Collaborating with customers and global teams for problem resolution.
Responsibilities
Provide Level 2/3 support for NPC and CSD-related incidents and service requests.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to NPC and CSD software, hardware, and integrations.
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring problems.
Collaborate with customers to understand their technical requirements and challenges.
Provide training and documentation to customer teams for NPC and CSD operations.
Act as a technical liaison between customers and Nokia R&D teams.
Work closely with Nokia's global care teams, R&D, and product management teams.
Prepare detailed reports on incidents, resolutions, and system performance metrics.
Requirements
Strong knowledge of Nokia Policy Controller (NPC) and Cloud Signaling Director (CSD) architecture and functionality.
Proficiency in Linux/Unix operating systems and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python).
Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, OpenStack) and cloud environments.
Understanding of telecom protocols (Diameter, HTTP/2, REST APIs) and 5G core networks.
Ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide innovative solutions.
Experience with debugging tools and techniques for telecom systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, multicultural environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, or related field.
3+ years of experience in telecom care engineering or related roles.
Nice to have:
Nokia certifications in NPC or related technologies.
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architecture.
Familiarity with ITIL processes for incident and problem management.
Knowledge of wireless/wireline protocols (Diameter/RADIUS) and architecture (LTE/5G).
IP certifications are considered an asset (NRS/CCNA etc.)
