About the role
- Tech Lead overseeing payment solutions for a telecom company in Brazil. Ensuring payment system evolution, security, and collaboration with finance and tech teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for the team responsible for payment systems, ensuring the evolution and stability of the solutions.
- Work on integrations between payment systems, billing and collections, optimizing flows and processes.
- Design and enhance integrations with banks, payment gateways and financial institutions, seeking best-in-market solutions.
- Ensure best practices for security, reliability, scalability and observability of the solutions, protecting customers' financial data.
- Support architectural decisions and promote software engineering best practices to raise the team's technical quality.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of payment methods (recurring credit card payments, boleto bancário, PIX — Brazilian instant payment system, reconciliation and refunds/chargebacks).
- Experience with bank integrations via APIs, return files, webhooks and reconciliation processes.
- Functional knowledge of billing, invoices and collections.
- Strong software development experience (preferably backend).
- Experience with distributed systems architecture and integrations.
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure or GCP).
- Knowledge of REST APIs, messaging systems and asynchronous integrations.
- Security best practices, especially in financial flows.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fields.
- Certifications in AWS, Azure or GCP (preferred).
