Responsibilities
Actively shape the energy future! As an engineer in strategic network planning, you will develop the gas, heat and H2 networks of tomorrow.
You will create innovative concepts, optimize network structures and make a decisive contribution to the heat transition—technically, sustainably and with a forward-looking approach.
Strategic network planning & concept development: You will develop future-oriented target network plans for heat networks up to 125 °C and 16 bar operating pressure, prepare network development plans and regional planning in the context of the energy and heat transition.
Network modeling & analysis: You will create and update operational network models using modern calculation and simulation software and continuously assess network conditions and faults.
Optimization & efficiency improvements: You will derive measures for technical, commercial, regulatory and ecological optimization of the networks.
Innovation & new technologies: You will advance new specialist topics, e.g., the development of H2 network strategies, and actively shape the networks of the future.
Project involvement & key figures: You will support the planning, construction and maintenance of the networks and provide decision-relevant commercial and technical key performance indicators.
Requirements
You have a completed technical degree (technical college or university) in Process Engineering, Supply/Energy Engineering, Energy Technology or Environmental Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
Ideally, you have several years of professional experience in the construction or operation of heat distribution systems (not mandatory).
You are well acquainted with relevant laws and regulations as well as applicable technical standards.
In addition, you have experience in network calculation (e.g., STANET) and are familiar with GIS.
You are characterized by high commitment, initiative and the ability to work independently.
