About the role

  • Engineer at Ducks Unlimited engaging in habitat restoration projects. Design and manage projects alongside biologists and engineers in Michigan and Ohio.

Responsibilities

  • perform project planning, design, contracting, and construction management functions on wetland, riparian, and associated habitat restoration projects
  • field survey, engineering design, drafting with AutoCAD Civil 3D, project bidding, field inspection, and construction management
  • work closely with local, state and federal personnel, private landowners, and other conservation partners
  • travel throughout Michigan and Ohio as required

Requirements

  • B.S in Civil Engineering or an equivalent degree from an EAC/ABET accredited engineering program
  • preferred minimum of 2 years’ experience in civil engineering design
  • registered EIT preferred
  • experience with Civil3D, hydrology, hydraulics, civil design including structures and pump stations, erosion control, construction inspection and project management
  • demonstrated oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • self-motivated and goal oriented
  • ability to work with and solve problems in team-based relationships
