About the role

  • Head of Engineering driving tech strategy and architecture in AI-driven recruiting startup. Responsible for SaaS product development and team leadership in Heilbronn, Germany.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end tech strategy and architecture (SaaS, Data/ML, integrations).
  • Develop close to the product: channel analysis, multiposting, candidate pre-qualification, insights.
  • Ensure operations & quality (SLOs, observability, security, cost control).
  • Set up CI/CD & Developer Experience (tests, feature flags, monitoring, incident processes).
  • Build and lead the team (hiring, mentoring, standards).

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in full-stack / platform engineering, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven ownership for architecture, delivery & operations in SaaS environments.
  • Deep integration expertise (APIs, authentication, webhooks, backoff/retry strategies, idempotency).
  • Product mindset: link technical decisions to business KPIs.
  • Hands-on leadership: actively build, prioritize, and coach.
