About the role
- Cloud Platform Architect developing and managing cloud solutions leveraging AWS and OpenShift. Collaborating with teams to implement secure, scalable, and efficient cloud infrastructures.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the cloud strategy in alignment with business objectives
- Evaluate and recommend cloud services, platforms, and technologies, with a focus on AWS and OpenShift
- Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures leveraging AWS and OpenShift
- Lead the implementation of cloud solutions using AWS and OpenShift
- Plan and execute migration of applications and data to the cloud
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization and performance across AWS and OpenShift
- Work closely with development, operations, and business teams to understand requirements and provide technical guidance
- Develop and manage cloud budgeting and cost optimization strategies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Master’s degree preferred
- Active DOD Top Secret/SCI + Ploy security clearance
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cloud architecture or a related role
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
- Extensive experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.) and OpenShift container platform
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Terraform)
- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA)) are highly desirable
