About the role
- IT Administrator responsible for implementing security solutions at NewTec. Collaborating with departments to optimize security, stability, and efficiency in IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- IT security: You implement security concepts and continuously optimize them (firewalls, intrusion detection, segmentation, etc.).
- Network architecture & strategy: You design, further develop, and standardize our network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN).
- Processes & automation: You establish efficient network management processes, automate routine tasks, and operate monitoring systems.
- Project responsibility: You manage infrastructure projects, e.g. site networking, security upgrades, or cloud integrations.
- Consulting: You work closely with business units, advise on technical solutions, and ensure compliance requirements (e.g. ISO 27001, BSI IT Baseline Protection).
- Troubleshooting & support: You analyze and resolve complex network issues — focusing on root causes, not just symptoms.
Requirements
- You hold a degree in an IT-related field (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering) or an equivalent qualification, and have at least 5 years of professional experience.
- You have solid knowledge of network design, TCP/IP, routing & switching, VLAN, VPN, and firewall technologies.
- You have experience with Cisco, Fortinet, or comparable technologies.
- You have a good understanding of IT security standards and network security strategies.
- Fluent German and good English skills, both written and spoken, complete your profile.
