About the role
- Project Developer for EV Charging at New Leaf Energy, handling site identification and project management for renewable energy infrastructure. Collaborating with teams and stakeholders to expand the charging location portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify new EV charger site opportunities through market research
- Lead prospecting efforts and engage with landowners and developers
- Prepare and negotiate site control contracts
- Lead pre-development, evaluation, and prioritization of land acquisition opportunities
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for project execution
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue incentive programs for EV charging infrastructure
- Prepare and submit competitive proposals for EV charging projects
- Build and maintain relationships with real estate partners
- Stay updated on market trends and policy/incentive efforts
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive commercial real estate experience in site selection and contract negotiations
- Proactive, agile, entrepreneurial mindset
- Enthusiasm for electric vehicles and a passion for sustainability
- Familiarity with real estate principles, markets, and concepts, including permitting procedures
- Demonstrated experience negotiating real estate contracts
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and project management skills
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid role with some travel
- Technologically proficient, comfortable with data-driven decision-making
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Environmental Science, or a related field
