About the role

  • Publicity Manager developing regional publicity strategies for NEON films from festival launch to awards season. Managing relationships with critics and coordinating national press support.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee regional publicity strategies for all NEON titles from festival launch through theatrical and awards campaigns.
  • Pitch and secure coverage across regional print, online, broadcast, and radio outlets.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with regional film critics, journalists, and media partners.
  • Manage regional press and promotional screenings, overseeing invitations, RSVPs, and on-site execution.
  • Coordinate talent appearances for regional press days, screenings, Q&As, and local media opportunities.
  • Craft tailored pitch angles that drive audience engagement and maximize coverage in each market.
  • Track regional press coverage and distribute comprehensive reports internally and to filmmakers.
  • Partner with national campaign leads to support overall publicity strategy for each title.
  • Contribute to campaign brainstorms, press notes, talking points, and narrative positioning.
  • Assist with national press efforts, including top-tier features, long-lead pitching, and broadcast bookings.
  • Coordinate talent travel, schedules, and logistics for national press tours, premieres, and festivals.
  • Support festival publicity (Sundance, TIFF, Cannes, Telluride, NYFF, etc.), including talent handling, on-site press management, and scheduling.
  • Help manage review campaigns, including materials distribution, embargo communication, and critic relations.
  • Collaborate on awards publicity efforts in conjunction with awards consultants and national leads.
  • Work closely with marketing and distribution teams to ensure consistent, cohesive messaging across all campaigns.
  • Contribute to campaign decks, presentations, and filmmaker communications as needed.
  • Maintain and update regional press lists and critics groups.
  • Prepare and distribute press breaks, coverage recaps, and campaign performance reports.
  • Manage budget tracking for regional publicity expenses.
  • Oversee delivery of promotional materials (trailers, stills, clips, EPK assets) to regional press.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of publicity, communications, or entertainment media experience.
  • Strong relationships with regional critics and entertainment press preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with film festivals, talent handling, and awards campaigns is a plus.
  • Passion for film, storytelling, and the evolving media landscape.
