About the role

  • Senior Lawyer in contracts and regulatory affairs at a growing fintech company in Brazil. Responsible for legal structuring and compliance in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial and corporate contracts of varying complexity.
  • Handle corporate and governance matters, including complex corporate structures and offshore entities.
  • Advise internal teams on regulatory issues related to the Central Bank, identifying risks, explaining the impact of regulations and coordinating support from external law firms when necessary.
  • Support the compliance team on internal policies, controls and regulatory obligations.
  • Contribute to the structuring and development of the in-house legal function, ensuring smooth and clear interaction with business areas.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Finance and senior leadership on strategic matters.
  • Coordinate engagements with specialized external law firms (funds, regulatory, corporate).

Requirements

  • Law degree with at least 8 years of experience, with significant experience in commercial and corporate contracts, corporate/corporate law (including offshore entities) and, preferably, interaction with regulated companies and/or experience in financial environments.
  • Fluent English for interaction with internal teams and external stakeholders.
