Financial Manager I managing Financial Compliance Section in Bureau of Child Care Food Programs with supervisory responsibilities. Requires independent work and completion of certifications for Child Care Food Program.
Responsibilities
The incumbent in this position manages the Financial Compliance Section within the Financial & Information Management section of Bureau of Child Care Food Programs.
This is a highly responsible position that requires the incumbent to work independently with little supervision.
The incumbent will be required to complete a certification twice a year stating that all time worked has been for the Child Care Food Program.
This position spends more than 50% of the time engaged in supervisory responsibilities.
This includes communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees in addition to planning and directing employees’ work.
The incumbent has the authority to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, or discipline subordinate employees or effectively recommend such action.
The incumbent will also be required to develop performance expectations, meet with staff regularly to discuss performance, complete performance reviews, maintain vacation and work schedules, ensuring proper coverage, and complete timesheets.
Requirements
Minimum: Must be willing to physically come in the office to perform the duties & responsibilities of the position.
Preferred: Two years of Supervisor experience or two years of experience with supervisor like duties.
Two years of experience in finance, accounting, systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, or program evaluation.
