About the role

  • Data Manager leading the Quality Assurance Data Analysis team at Florida Department of Children and Families. Responsible for performance measures, executive presentations, and continuous improvement plans.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Quality Assurance Data Analysis team
  • Report to the SAMH Chief of Children Mental Health Services
  • Mobilize the data analysis team for independent and complex analysis and technical assistance
  • Coordinate team actions to analyze and report on SAMH performance measures
  • Prepare executive presentations with key department data
  • Manage and monitor day-to-day activities and performance of data systems
  • Provide consultation to management and partners on technology updates
  • Coordinate technical assistance and quality improvement activities statewide
  • Assist with continuous improvement plans and activities between program offices
  • Conduct personnel evaluations and performance planning
  • Maintain effective internal communication with Division leadership and staff

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree from a college or university in statistics or a related field is preferred
  • Four years of professional experience in data management, data analytics
  • Two years of experience supervising employees
  • Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis
  • Knowledge of technology trends and developments in the areas of network
  • Knowledge and skill in the use of computers and software programs used for word processing, database management, statistical and spreadsheet applications
  • Knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office, Office 365, Power BI, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
  • Knowledge of program principles, laws, regulations, multiple complex technical programs
  • Ability to plan, manage, organize, and coordinate multiple work assignments and activities are required
  • Ability to process information logically and solve problems
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
  • Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document workflow and improve management practices
