Responsibilities
- Responsible for hands-on laboratory testing of innovative products in the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) market
- Focuses on engineering validation, qualification, and regulatory compliance testing
- Work directly to set up, execute, and analyze tests
- Support Design Validation Testing (DVT) and formal safety certification activities
- Partner closely with Product Engineering, manufacturing, and external NRTL laboratories
Requirements
- Perform hands-on testing of electrical and electromechanical systems
- Develop, execute, and maintain validation test plans
- Set up and operate lab equipment
- Build and modify test fixtures
- Execute stress, fault, abuse, environmental, and reliability testing
- Troubleshoot test failures
- Execute product safety and regulatory compliance testing
- Prepare products and documentation for NRTL certification testing
- Maintain detailed test records, reports, and evidence
- Actively participate in the Phase-Gate Product Development Process
- Support sustaining engineering and manufacturing by executing requalification testing
- Collaborate with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Product Management
- Provide clear, concise test reports and risk assessments
- Monitor emerging regulatory and standards changes
