About the role

  • IT Infrastructure Manager overseeing IT infrastructure stability and project management for Murata Electronics. Engaging in cloud systems and strategic initiatives within a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the configuration, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of IT infrastructure systems (network, servers, storage, cloud).
  • Ensure compliance with security standards, disaster recovery plans, and backup procedures.
  • Manage asset lifecycle for hardware and software within Infrastructure’s area of responsibility.
  • Lead infrastructure-related projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Develop project plans, allocate resources, and monitor progress using recognized project management methodologies and tools.
  • Prepare business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT initiatives.
  • Contribute to IT strategy development, infrastructure roadmap planning, and design of systems.
  • Implement and enforce IT infrastructure policies, standards, and best practices via incident and change management.
  • Communicate with vendors, other IT teams, and business stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance.
  • Supervise, mentor, train, and conduct performance reviews for infrastructure team members, fostering a culture aligned with Murata’s core principles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, including network and server administration.
  • Experience in a management role with at least one direct report.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale IT projects with familiarity with ITIL practices and change management processes.
  • Strong knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN, wireless), virtualization, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and security technologies.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with a focus on high-level customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical parties.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment with strong business acumen.
