About the role

  • Consultant for SAP Senior FPSL supporting international insurance and banking companies with digital transformation initiatives. Engaging with clients to enhance their finance and accounting functions.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer requirements and data for S/4HANA Financial Products Subledger in compliance with IFRS 17
  • Prepare customer data for processing in subledger accounting.
  • Process data, validate functional correctness, and present results to clients.
  • Configure and adjust subledger accounting modules to meet customer requirements; investigate and resolve processing errors.
  • Maintain and support the customer’s FPSL system to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to FPSL configuration, master data, error correction, and job monitoring.
  • Document recurring problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Gather customer requirements, customize FPSL components, and deliver changes within agreed timelines.
  • Conduct system testing to ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices.
  • Guide customers in system customization and scoping activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client personnel, manage risks, monitor progress, and ensure stakeholder alignment.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior consultants and project team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Actuarial Science or Computer Science is an advantage.
  • Deep knowledge of FPSL measurement models (PAA, GMM, VFA) and data upload processes.
  • Strong understanding of FPSL data model and integration with S/4HANA.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards (preferably IFRS) and insurance principles.
  • Advanced skills in error handling, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Ability to lead projects, manage teams, and mentor junior consultants.
  • Strong stakeholder management and client-facing experience.
  • Exposure to software development or standard implementation projects.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker, proactive, and self-driven.
  • Willingness to support varying schedules (e.g., 8x5 or 24/7) based on customer requirements.
