- SAP RAP Consultant developing applications using SAP RESTful ABAP Programming Model in hybrid working environment. Collaborating with teams to design and implement innovative SAP solutions.
Responsibilities
- Application Development
- Design and develop applications using the SAP RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) on SAP S/4HANA or SAP BTP ABAP Environment.
- Build business objects, behaviours, and service definitions using RAP.
- Develop and extend CDS views.
- BOPF-like behaviour implementations, and OData services.
- ABAP & CDS Expertise
- Develop high‑performance ABAP code following clean-core and cloud-ready development principles.
- Create custom CDS views, annotations, value helps, and CDS-based analytical models.
- Integration & Extensibility
- Create external/internal OData services using RAP and integrate applications with SAP Fiori/UI5.
- Implement side-by-side and in-app extensions on SAP S/4HANA and BTP.
- Quality & Performance
- Conduct code reviews, performance optimization, and unit testing.
- Ensure adherence to SAP BTP & S/4HANA development guidelines and clean ABAP principles.
- Collaboration & Agile Delivery
- Work with functional consultants, architects, and product owners to understand business requirements.
- Participate in design workshops, sprint planning, and DevOps processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of SAP development experience, with at least 3+ years in SAP RAP.
- Strong expertise in:
- ABAP RESTful Programming Model (RAP)
- CDS Views (Design, Annotations, Extensibility)
- ABAP on HANA
- Object Oriented ABAP Programming
- BADI Implementation/User exits
- OData V2/V4 services
- Eclipse ADT
- Strong understanding of Fiori Elements & UI5 integration concepts.
- Good understanding of clean-core, cloud extensibility, and S/4HANA architecture.
- Good communication and soft skills.
